We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or intermediate care position. • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020–$2,130

• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage may be required; one major holiday commitment is expected

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Virginia RN license or compact RN license required at start
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with cardiac stepdown, telemetry, IMU/IMCU, med-surg, neuro, or CVA patient populations preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a teaching hospital environment and supporting students and new staff
• Ability to provide complete work history and required submission documents

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
• Monitor and assess patients with medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, and neurological needs
• Respond to changing patient conditions and collaborate with the care team to support positive outcomes
• Provide leadership support when assigned charge responsibilities
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
• Work collaboratively with providers, peers, students, and new hires in a supportive team environment
• Maintain flexibility to meet unit needs, including holiday and weekend coverage
