• Schedule: Day and night shift options available; every-other-weekend rotation; holiday coverage expected

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of strong cardiac, telemetry, or PCU experience
• Current Registered Nurse licensure
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience caring for cardiovascular, telemetry, and stepdown patients with higher-acuity needs
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac drips
• Strong communication skills and a calm, respectful, team-focused approach
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for cardiac and vascular patients, including post-operative open-heart, arrhythmia, and post-catheterization cases
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate cardiac infusions such as nitro, heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine as appropriate
• Care for patients with chest tubes, epidurals, pacemakers, ICDs, and other complex cardiovascular needs
• Support patients transitioning from ICU-level care and assist with medical overflow as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, charge nurses, CNAs, and tele techs to deliver safe, efficient care
• Float to MedSurg or ICU overflow assignments when needed
