Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 1+ year of nursing experience preferred, with stepdown RN or medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience titrating cardiac and medical drips
• Comfort working with telemetry and monitored patients
• Ability to manage a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication, assessment, and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for stepdown and med-surg patients with conditions such as respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, and chest pain
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition promptly
• Titrate medications including heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone per protocol
• Collaborate with the care team, including respiratory therapy and house supervision, to support patient care needs
• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care while maintaining accurate documentation in EPIC
• Follow unit routines, including scheduled weekend coverage and holiday rotation as assigned
• Support a patient-focused environment while working closely with nursing assistants and other healthcare team members
