• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Float Requirement: May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated facilities based on skill set

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in stepdown, IMCU, progressive care, or a similar higher-acuity nursing setting
• Experience caring for complex cardiac and respiratory patients
• Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator patients preferred
• Experience with critical care drips and titrated infusions preferred
• Active Oregon RN license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong Epic charting experience required
• Must be comfortable floating to related units as needed
• Must have reliable transportation for the assignment
• Must be able to provide 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of recent experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to intermediate care and cardiac stepdown patients
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac and respiratory conditions
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips and insulin drips per protocol
• Care for patients with tracheostomies and ventilator support
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Maintain safe, organized, and compassionate patient care across varied acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Float to other units or nearby facilities as needed based on patient care needs
