• Environment: Fast-paced adult inpatient unit with a variety of cardiac, neuro, trauma, and respiratory diagnoses

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU, PCU, cardiac stepdown, or a similar intermediate care nursing setting
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Active New York RN license required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Ability to care for adult patients with complex medical and post-operative needs
• Resume, skills checklist, and license verification required at submission
• Must be comfortable floating as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a cardiac stepdown and intermediate care environment
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and post-operative conditions
• Administer medications and complete assessments according to established clinical standards
• Recognize changes in patient status and collaborate promptly with the interdisciplinary care team
• Care for patients requiring specialty support such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, and BiPAP
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and support continuity of care
• Assist with safe patient transitions, prioritization, and teamwork in a busy adult care unit
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate, attentive bedside care
