Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a cardiac stepdown unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler studies; support patients receiving peritoneal dialysis
• Document accurately using Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period and fulfill holiday obligations per facility policy
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse; first-time travelers are welcome
• Proficiency with Epic is required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes can be requested post-offer or on-site, including during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown or telemetry unit setting
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience with SBAR communication in a fast-paced clinical environment
