Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a cardiac stepdown unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and manage patients presenting with conditions including post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
- Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler assessments
- Assist with peritoneal dialysis as required within scope of practice
- Document patient care accurately using Epic and communicate effectively utilizing SBAR methodology
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed; work required weekend and holiday shifts per unit schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Experience with telemetry, EKG interpretation, and Doppler
- Ability to meet full compliance requirements prior to start date, including core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Experience with peritoneal dialysis in a clinical setting
