Contract (13–26 Week Option) | Days, 3x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Every Other Weekend Coverage (Subject to Change Based on Need)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
• Administer and monitor vasoactive infusions, IV antiarrhythmic therapy, thrombolytic therapy, and anticoagulation
• Perform and interpret cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKGs
• Assist with or support procedures including defibrillation/cardioversion and thoracentesis
• Monitor non-invasive blood pressure and respond to changes in patient condition
• Float to like units or other facilities as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with Epic EMR
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or like unit (2 years preferred; first-time travelers considered based on experience)
• Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (exceptions apply for certain specialties and shift types — consult your recruiter for details)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience in Cardiac Stepdown or a related progressive care setting
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with vasoactive drug administration and antiarrhythmic drug therapy protocols
