Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend coverage expected, subject to change based on unit need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and telemetry monitoring on a 32-bed cardiac unit serving patients with cardiovascular conditions, including Heart Failure
• Perform continuous EKG monitoring and continuous oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry
• Administer intravenous and oral medications used to treat cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
• Prepare and coordinate patient transport for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures
• Deliver holistic, patient- and family-centered care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census; floating will only occur to units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with Epic EMR
• Minimum 2 years of experience in field; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of experience within the specialty
• Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates between 90–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate — candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (exceptions apply for this specialty: candidates must be more than 100 miles from the contracted campus for full eligibility; 50.0–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; under 50 miles is ineligible)
• Pre-assignment testing and online modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Background in cardiac telemetry or progressive care settings
• Experience managing inpatient Heart Failure patients and coordinating post-hospitalization care planning
