Progressive Care Registered Nurse – Varied Shift

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Rotating Shift | 36 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary nursing care for patients in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including telemetry and step-down ICU patients
- Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading
- Perform fingerstick blood sugar monitoring and related point-of-care testing
- Utilize Meditech for clinical charting and Pyxis for medication management
- Operate and monitor equipment including BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring devices
- Float to other acute care units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, ICU, and Emergency departments as needed
Required Qualifications- Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
- Ability to work a rotating schedule with no guaranteed hours and no on-call requirement
- Professional scrubs dress code compliance required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Progressive Care and telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- Current PALS certification preferred
- NIHSS certification preferred
