Progressive Care Registered Nurse – Varied Shift

Contract | Rotating Shift | 36 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary nursing care for patients in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including Step Down ICU and telemetry beds
- Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading
- Conduct fingerstick blood sugar monitoring and related bedside assessments
- Utilize unit equipment including Meditech charting, Pyxis medication dispensing, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring systems
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step Down ICU
- Float to other acute care units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, ICU, and Emergency departments as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active State of Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and strip reading
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Progressive Care and telemetry unit experience strongly preferred
- ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification preferred
- Familiarity with Meditech charting and Pyxis medication systems
