Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Heart and Vascular unit encompassing both stepdown and floor level patients, including complex cardiac and vascular surgery post-operative cases
- Manage and titrate drips including heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, TPA, Lasix, and dobutamine per physician orders and unit protocols
- Care for patients with diagnoses including CABG, valve replacements, LVAD, heart transplants, TAVRs, STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, AAA repair, CEA, femoral bypass, and related cardiac and vascular procedures
- Collaborate with cardiac monitor technicians, clinical associates, charge nurses, and house supervisors to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Operate and monitor respiratory support equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen devices
- Float to sister units within the Heart and Vascular Institute as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Current BLS certification (must be unexpired)
- Current ACLS certification (must be unexpired)
- Demonstrated cardiac and/or vascular nursing experience
- Ability to titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips independently
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience caring for post-operative cardiac surgery patients including CABG, valve replacements, LVAD, and heart transplant populations
- Familiarity with vascular surgery post-operative care including AAA repair, CEA, and femoral bypass
- Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac stepdown or similar high-acuity environment
