# Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – North CarolinaStart Date: October 12, 2026Location: Salisbury, North CarolinaCompensation: Details provided to qualified applicantsSchedule: 12-hour night shifts (1845 - 0715), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period. Call and float requirements based on unit needs.Highlights:- High-acuity cardiac and stroke telemetry unit serving as primary care center for cardiac interventions and cerebrovascular patients- Fast-paced environment with 78-90 patient turnovers weekly, supported by dedicated team lead for admissions and discharges- Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with experience managing cardiac drips including titration (Cardizem, Dopamine, Amiodarone)- Pre/post procedure care for pacemakers, ICDs, cardiac catheterization, TR bands, and peripheral vascular interventions- Epic documentation system with 36-hour orientation provided during first week- Contract lengths available: 13-26 weeksRequirements:- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)- Minimum 2 years of high-acuity telemetry experience with similar patient ratios and acuity levels- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date- Essential skills: IV start, cardiac telemetry, pre/post-procedure cardiac care, cardiac drip management and titration, PCI experience- Comfortable managing 6-patient assignments with frequent turnover- Available daily during first week for hospital orientation and completion of pre-start modules- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)Why It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic cardiac and stroke specialty unit where you'll utilize advanced telemetry skills while caring for a diverse patient population.
