Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Telemetry - $2,095 per week in Salisbury, NC

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Telemetry – North CarolinaStart Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week periodHighlights:

• High-acuity cardiac and stroke telemetry unit with fast-paced environment averaging 78-90 patient turnovers weekly
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with team lead support for admissions and discharges
• Care for pre/post cardiac catheterization, pacemaker implantation, ICD placement, stable cardiac interventions, CVA, and TIA patients
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Epic (Dimensions) charting system with 36-hour orientation period
• Contract length: 20+ weeks available through February 27, 2027
• Float and on-call requirements based on unit census

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in high-acuity cardiac telemetry or progressive care
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and drip titration
• Experience with pre/post-procedure cardiac patients, cardiac catheterization, PCI, and TR bands
• Comfortable managing 6-patient assignments in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

• Pre-start online modules required (8-10 hours, non-billable)
• Unit may house COVID-positive patients utilizing high-flow oxygen and BiPAP
• Must be available daily during first week for hospital and unit orientation
