Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts available (indicate preference upon application); typically every other weekend; floating within facility as needed; rare call with 2-hour response time

Highlights:

• 32-bed overflow Intermediate Care Unit serving adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6; diverse case mix including cardiac arrhythmias, CHF, chest pain, renal, pulmonary conditions, post-cardiac cath, DKA, and surgical overflow
• Epic EMR system (preferred), Pyxis, and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract length determines orientation hours; full compliance required prior to start
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract; holiday coverage required based on assignment period
• Experience managing continuous IV medications is mandatory including cardiac drips, anticoagulants, diuretics, and insulin drips

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience managing cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Strong arrhythmia management skills, cardioversion experience, TR Band management, and post-cardiac cath care
• Epic charting experience preferred; patient ratio experience up to 1:6
• Competency in telemetry monitoring, central line care, blood product administration, feeding tube management, and IV access/management
