Shift Matrix:Day Shift | Flexible Schedule (4x10-Hour or 5x8-Hour Shifts)
- Schedule Options: Negotiable between 4x10s (06:00 – 16:30) with a rotating day off OR 5x8s (07:00 – 15:30).
- Weekend & Holiday Policy: Rotating weekend coverage required. No on-call requirements and no holiday coverage required.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Absolute Minimum Qualifications & Departmental Hardstops:
- Licensure Mandate: Active, unencumbered Tennessee State RN License or active eNLC Compact RN License held in hand at submission.
- Experience Baseline: Minimum 1+ year of dedicated Cardiac Nursing experience with specialized hands-on experience in non-invasive cardiac stress testing modalities.

- Active AHA BLS
- Active AHA ACLS
- Procedural Competency Hardstop: Must have documented hands-on experience administering and monitoring multiple stress testing modalities:
- Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing
- Dobutamine Stress Testing
- Cardiac MRI Stress Testing
- CCTA (Coronary CT Angiography)
- Exercise / Treadmill Stress Testing & Stress Echo
- ECG Mastery: Expert cardiac rhythm recognition and continuous ECG interpretation skills required.
Job Summary & Clinical Scope
A Hospital in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced, autonomous Diagnostic Cardiology Registered Nurse (Diagnostic Cardiology RN) for a 13-week day contract in Cardiology-Diagnostic 001 (Department 10610). Operating within a high-volume non-invasive cardiovascular testing lab, the RN will direct pre-procedure assessments, procedural monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response across a full spectrum of diagnostic cardiac testing protocols.
- Procedural Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct pre-procedure health histories, verify testing contraindications, establish peripheral IV access, and continuously monitor real-time vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation during diagnostic stress procedures.
- Pharmacologic Stress Testing Administration: Administer and monitor pharmacological agents (e.g., Dobutamine, Regadenoson/Adenosine, dilators) and diagnostic contrast/radiopharmaceuticals per physician orders and cardiac lab protocols.
- Emergency Response & Rhythm Interpretation: Instantly recognize dysrhythmias, ischemic ECG changes, or adverse patient reactions, initiating immediate clinical interventions and resuscitation protocols as required.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination & Patient Education: Collaborate directly with attending cardiologists, Nuclear Medicine technologists, cardiac sonographers, and radiology teams while providing pre- and post-procedure education to patients.
