Cardiac OR RNFA – Travel Nursing OpportunityShift Details

• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Primarily weekdays, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities per unit need

Position Overview

• Cardiac OR setting requiring a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
• RNFA must be able to assist with chest exposure and closing
• RNFA must be able to independently perform vein harvesting for CABGs
• Ability to first assist in DaVinci robotic cases is preferred but not required
• Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases is preferred but not required

Case Types

• CABGs
• Structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall)
• Minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Heart failure cases (e.g., Impella)
• Heart transplants — experience in heart transplant is preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
• AHA BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• NYS RN License (New York License ONLY)
• CNOR Certification
• Telemetry experience
