Description:
This position requires a qualified Registered Nurse to work in a critical care environment.
The unit has a total of 12 beds with variable staffing levels based on patient census.
Staffing consists of 1 charge nurse, 6-8 nurses, and 1 secretary during day shifts.
Night shifts will have similar staffing with 1 charge nurse and 6-8 nurses.
Patient ratios are typically 1:2 but may require 1:1 care as patient acuity dictates.
The unit utilizes various types of equipment, including Impella, IABP, PrisMax, ECMO, Alaris IV pump, Edwards Hemospheres, and ventilators.
Experience in recovery from open-heart surgery is essential.
The role may involve intubation, extubation, bedside bronchoscopy, and bedside line insertion.
A willingness to be a team player is necessary for this role.
Candidates with a CV ICU background will be preferred.
Every other weekend scheduling is required, but no on-call duty is necessary.
