Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Cardiac Advanced Device Therapy Management experience, including IABP, IMPELLA, and Swan-Ganz Management Description: Deliver high-quality direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN). Ensure safe, evidence-based interventions aligned with organizational policies and clinical standards. Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, evaluating outcomes and adjusting treatment to optimize patient safety and recovery. Administer physician and nursing orders promptly, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Advancing quality improvement initiatives is essential. Lead discharge planning efforts, collaborating with patients and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions and effective post-acute care planning. The patient population includes high-risk cardiac surgery cases such as open-heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, and CCO monitoring.
