This dynamic role requires adept skills in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management within a CVICU environment. Key Responsibilities of the ICU Registered Nurse

Perform hemodynamic monitoring involving swans and art lines
Manage ventilator equipment effectively
Utilize strong critical thinking skills for patient care
Collaborate with healthcare team on post-surgical procedures, including Post CABG and Post VAD
Operate cardiac support devices such as IABP, Impella, and ECMO
Float to different units as required

Requirements of the ICU Registered Nurse

Active TX RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
ACLS and BLS certification
NIH certification required
2+ years of ICU experience
Experience with Meditech charting and order entry preferred
