Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 18 months ICU experience required; 2 years preferred. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start). Must-Have: Epic experience required at a level 3 or 4. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The ICU serves both cardiac and neuro patients, requiring experience in managing these types of cases. Experience with dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction, and post-cardiac surgery care is essential. Patient monitoring will include the use of pulmonary artery lines, arterial lines, and management of ventilated patients. The role requires the ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. Suctioning and isolation precautions knowledge are also necessary. Travelers should be aware of time-sensitive training modules that need to be prioritized once confirmed for the assignment. A smoke-free policy is in place; all travelers must be nicotine-free with no exceptions. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, is required prior to starting. First-time travelers are accepted; however, no certifications can be pending. Applicants must be prepared for EKG and pharmacology testing during the onboarding process, with a maximum of two attempts for each test. Travelers will be canceled if they fail these tests. Modules are non-billable and will be completed prior to starting and annually. All required time off must be included upfront in submissions. References from direct supervisors, managers, or directors are required, along with verification of experience. The facility does not accept any license hits.
