Description:
This position is for a CVICU Registered Nurse.
The role involves working 12-hour night shifts with a holiday rotation.
The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:2.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.
Flexibility to float within the scope to meet facility needs is expected.
The nurse should be comfortable with floating between similar units.
First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position.
All required certifications must be in hand before starting.
Special requirements include experience in managing various medical situations such as ECMO, CRRT, and stroke management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac and neuro patient care.
Attendance to all scheduled shifts is crucial, as the facility allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks.
Appropriate patient care and support will be conducted using Epic for charting.
Team collaboration will include support from respiratory services and phlebotomy.
Knowledge of current ICU practices and procedures is essential.
The role will expect management of various complex medical devices and patient conditions.
