Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Cardiac Advanced Device Therapy Management experience, including IABP and Impella Management - Swan-Ganz Management Description: Deliver high-quality direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN). Ensure safe, evidence-based interventions aligned with organizational policies and clinical standards. Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans. Evaluate outcomes and adjust treatment to optimize patient safety and recovery. Administer physician and nursing orders promptly. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and advance quality improvement initiatives. Lead discharge planning efforts. Collaborate with patients and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions and effective post-acute care planning. Work within a unit that cares for a specific patient population, primarily focusing on high-risk cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, and related devices and monitoring. Utilize electronic medical records systems for patient management. Float to other units as required for staffing needs.
