The unit comprises 8 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3. The patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions. Procedures include post-open heart recovery, post-cardiac procedures, surgical interventions, as well as central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements. Candidates should be familiar with Edwards monitoring, GE monitoring, and SWAN Ganz catheters.
