Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,025 per week in Columbia, SC

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – South Carolina

Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week with alternating weekend coverage; 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio

Highlights:

• Comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic patient population including post-CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, and complex vascular cases
• Advanced device experience with CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Centrimag, VAD, and PA catheters
• 12-bed unit with daily census of approximately 10 patients; robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response, and pharmacy
• EPIC EMR system; 48 hours of orientation provided with paid pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours reimbursable)
• Travel nursing assignment with extension opportunities and structured contract terms
• Every other weekend schedule provides predictable work-life balance

Requirements:

• Active RN license in South Carolina or compact state license
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiovascular ICU experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (required)
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must reside 100+ miles from facility (distance requirements apply; compensation adjustments for 90-99.9 miles)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Competency in arterial line management, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, and central line care
