Candidates must have experience with Impella, IABP, and LVAD devices. NxStage experience is preferred. The unit cares for both cardiac medical ICU patients and cardiac/thoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients. The RN will manage a patient ratio of 2:1, including patients with advanced cardiac devices. Strong critical care skills and the ability to function in a high-acuity environment are essential. Commitment to quality care and patient safety is required.
