Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,065 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Cardiovascular ICU – North Carolina

Start Date: July 23, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio depending on acuity; every other weekend required

• 19-bed mixed CVICU/CVRU unit providing cardiac surgical services for approximately 850 heart surgeries annually
• High-acuity unit featuring ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVAD support with dedicated specialty teams
• GE monitoring systems and Cerner EMR platform
• Comprehensive orientation provided by unit educator with support from experienced charge nurses
• Float opportunities to all ICUs, step-down units, and other areas as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license in state of practice
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU or cardiovascular recovery unit experience required
• Critical care training and background essential
• Critical Care (CCRN), Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room certification preferred
• Experience with cardiac surgical procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tube and pacer wire removal, intubation/extubation, and mechanical circulatory support devices
