Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar setting required. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: 2 years of current experience in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. Description: Please read the instructions carefully before applying. This position requires floating to other units within the hospital as needed. Availability for 2 weekends per month or every other weekend is required. Travelers will not be accommodated for time off during holidays. This includes major holidays and surrounding days. Experiences with arterial line management and blood product administration are preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of care for ventilated patients and central line management. Experience with cardiac monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is essential. The patient ratio will be 1:1 in the CVICU and 1:2-3 in other ICU areas. Daily census varies, and staffing will support adult and geriatric patient populations. Responsibilities will include comprehensive care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients and those experiencing acute strokes. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in advanced cardiac life support measures. All certifications and licensure must be current and not expiring within 45 days of the start date. Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams is critical to ensuring quality patient care. Traveling staff may float to other hospitals within the system under specific conditions.
