Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current state RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience required. Travel experience required. Description: Please carefully read the submittal instructions before submitting. Auto offer with bi-weekly orientation. Float may be required. Must work 2 weekends per month or every other weekend. Travel requests for time off during holidays will not be accommodated. Travelers may address any holiday time-off requests directly with the manager after arriving onsite. Certification requirements include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Patient ratios in CVICU are 1:1, and in ICU are 1:2-3. Must have 2 years of current experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is 19 patients with 19 beds available on the unit. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation. Special procedures may include floating within the hospital or to other hospitals within a specific distance, as long as the skill set allows. Must comply with floating policies. Travelers must provide accepted proof of residency documents if offered a position. All required certifications must be in hand at the time of submittal. Certifications must not expire within 45 days of the start date. Candidates should start working on renewals if within that time period. Charting experience with preferred systems may be beneficial. Candidates who have previously been permanent staff are subject to specific return rules. Travel teams that are related or married cannot work on the same unit. Modules are non-billable and will be completed during orientation and annually.
