Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have:
Recent experience/competency in VV/VA ECMO, Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps, TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, PA Catheter Guided Therapy.
Strong experience with all advanced therapy modalities.
Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips.
Ability to manage and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips.
Description:
Candidates must have worked in a dedicated CVICU/CICU.
Common types of patients/diagnoses include Post Op CABG, Heart and Lung Transplant, Cardiogenic Shock, Advanced HF Management, Cardiac Arrhythmia, Lysis, and Post IR/PCI Procedures.
Staffing ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 in CVICU and 1:3 in stepdown units.
Electronic medical record system used is Epic.
Scrubs should consist of navy blue pants and solid navy-blue tops or solid white jackets.
Weekend requirement is every other weekend.
Holidays include one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) and additional as needed.
Floating occurs first between CVICU and CICU, but is also required to float to other ICUs as needed.
