Description:
The position involves weekdays and some weekends.
Rotating holidays are expected.
Candidates are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels.
Estimated patient ratios are 1:1 to 2:2.
The position can include up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period.
Saturday and Sunday will be for day shifts, while Friday and Saturday will be for night shifts.
The role requires managing patients in a critical care setting, focusing on complex cardiovascular needs.
Skills required include managing ventilators, IV access, and medications.
Additional responsibilities consist of patient assessments and delivering comprehensive patient care.
Candidates should be able to effectively communicate and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
Knowledge of emergency protocols and critical care procedures is essential.
Candidates must adhere to infection control measures and safety guidelines.
This position addresses adult patient populations with diverse cardiovascular diagnoses, including post-operative and critically ill patients.
The unit requires familiarity with equipment such as ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring devices.
Support services available include physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
