Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: IABP, CRRT, Fresh OHS from the OR experience Description: Unit requires candidates to have more than two years of experience. Traveling pairs must have their own vehicles and will not share the same schedule. Clinicians must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to contract signing. Failure to score 80% in two attempts will result in a six-month do not use for specific regions. Candidates must be located more than 50 miles away from related facilities and cannot have been employed part-time or full-time in the past year. The unit has a total of 12 beds with ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity. Common diagnoses include AMI, CAD, and PVD. RNs are required to titrate drips. Common titratable drips include Dex, Propofol, Dop, Neo, Epi, Levo, Insulin, and Cardene. There are house supervisors available 24/7. Registered nurses read strips on the unit. Shifts require working two weekend shifts per pay period, not necessarily every other weekend. Holiday work may also be required. There is a maximum call requirement as specified in the contract. Floating to other departments may be necessary based on skill needs. Scrub color is navy blue. Unit-specific orientation is provided. Experience with Impella and Cerner is desired.
