Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid license Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Proof of pending status at the time of submission DC license in hand prior to the start date Successful completion of the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms Every other weekend required Holidays as needed Float to ICU and IMC required Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in a similar setting. Travel experience is preferred. Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted. The nurse will be required to manage a variety of critical care responsibilities including arterial line management and care of ventilated patients. Candidates must be skilled in the administration of blood products and possess knowledge of critical care protocols. The typical patient population includes adults and geriatric patients recovering from cardiac surgery. Staffing ratios will typically be 2 patients per nurse on day and night shifts. Candidates should have experience with specific procedures such as management of dysrhythmias and ventilator management. Orientation and additional training will be provided as needed. A collaborative and supportive team environment is essential in delivering high-quality patient care. The role will require flexibility and the ability to adapt to the needs of the unit.
