Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day rotations Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit License: Active RN License Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Must-Have: Experience with open-heart surgeries, ventilator management, and critical care procedures. Description: Our unit is a regional destination for comprehensive circulatory and respiratory support for critically ill adults. We specialize in open-heart surgeries, ventricular assist devices, heart and lung transplants, ECMO, aortic aneurysm repairs, and vascular and thoracic surgeries. We utilize a multitude of modalities at the bedside, including vasoactive medications and complete cardio-pulmonary support. We are a multidisciplinary team focusing on holistic health, supportive education, and improving patient outcomes. Nurse-to-patient ratios are based on patient acuity and may vary from 1:1 to 2:1. Weekend coverage is required based on unit needs. Candidates must be willing to float between like units to meet facility needs. This position includes responsibilities such as managing critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment, and administering complex medical therapies. With a diverse team, we support both patient care and professional development within our department. The ability to manage complex clinical decisions and work collaboratively is essential for success in this role.
