Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,368 per week in Milwaukee, WI

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of ICU experience with 1 year of CVICU experience License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; CCRN preferred Must-Have: Competence in invasive line monitoring, cardiac medications, ventilator management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation Description: Manager is open to 36 or 48-hour contracts. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and is magnet designated. The unit has 30 beds with an average patient census per day. The patient types include immediate post-op cardiac surgeries, thoracic surgeries, and vascular surgeries. Patient ratios include RN to patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for regular ICU status and 1:3 for mixed status. There is a dedicated charge nurse, and staff rarely have patient assignments. Support staff includes a hospitalist and intensivist available on-site 24/7. The unit utilizes electronic medical records and specific equipment such as IV pumps and monitors. Floating may occur to other ICUs or holding areas for patients waiting for an inpatient bed. Scheduling requires weekend rotation every other week and 1-2 holiday shifts per contract. RTO approval is allowed up to seven days in advance. Staff cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts. Scrub colors should be solid and professional with no graphics or logos.
