Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,373 per week in Salem, OR

The nurse will care for patients aged 16 and older with primary cardiac diagnoses. Patient conditions include heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, and cardiothoracic surgery. Experience with IABP therapy, Impella insertion, and post PCI is necessary. The unit consists of a blended setting with 18 ICU and 12 intermediate care beds. A multidisciplinary team approach is utilized to provide excellent patient care. The focus is on growth and mentoring, with specialty training available for staff. Advanced certification is encouraged and promoted within this role. Training covers a wide range of procedures including ventricular assist devices and continuous renal replacement therapy. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in various critical care skills. This includes management of ventilated patients and central line care. Attention to quality patient care and safety in a fast-paced environment is crucial. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams for comprehensive care.
