Key Responsibilities of the Travel CVICU RN
- Provide expert care to critically ill patients recovering from cardiovascular surgery or with severe cardiac conditions
- Monitor hemodynamic status, ventilator settings, and invasive lines with precision
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Respond swiftly to cardiac emergencies and implement life-saving interventions
- Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and recovery processes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation following hospital protocols
- Travel to the assignment location and integrate smoothly into the CVICU team
Requirements of the Travel CVICU RN
- Active North Carolina/Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and preferably CCRN certifications
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit or similar critical care setting
