Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS

Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities.

The job responsibilities include:
- Assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
- Serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse as designated.
- Educating patients and families in health promotion and disease management.
- Administering medications safely according to policy.
- Sharing responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization.
- Complying with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.
- Actively participating in professional development and completing all mandatory training.
- Integrating nursing research and current evidence into practice.
- Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
- Performing duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned.
- Participating in the Clinical Ladder Program as knowledge and expertise develop.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required skills and experience include collaboration, communication (verbal and written), judgment, critical thinking, and reliability.
Preferred experience includes previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
Required education is graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
Preferred education is a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Certifications include relevant skills certification as required by unit assignments.
