Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,426 per week in Baltimore, MD

Job Title: CICU/CVICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years in CVICU, First-time travelers with strong skill/experience accepted License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, CCRN Preferred Must-Have: - EOW (Every Other Weekend) requirement - Floating within the specialty may be required - Possible on-call requirements Description: The position is for a CICU/CVICU RN working nights. The contract is for 13 weeks with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU. Strong skills and experience will be accepted for first-time travelers. Every other weekend is required to be worked. Holidays will be required as they fall on the schedule. Floating may be required within the specialty to lower acuity patients as needed. Candidates may be called upon to go on-call. The average daily census of the unit is approximately 10 patients. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:1, up to 3 with stable, lower acuity patients. Common diagnoses include cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, and various cardiac arrhythmias. Special procedures include bedside central line insertions, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, and others. Special equipment includes Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT. Scrub color for the unit is navy blue. Certain certifications, such as CPI and CCRN, are preferred. Candidates will need to be familiar with charting systems, particularly Epic. Travel experience is not required but is preferred. Returning travelers typically must be away for at least six months after their last assignment. Compliance with onboarding requirements is essential. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the scope of practice with no restrictions.
