Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,426 per week in Baltimore, MD

Job Title: CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required; will accept first-time travelers with strong skill/experience in CVICU License: Active state RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIH; CCRN preferred Must-Have: EOW (every other weekend) required Holidays required as scheduled Floating required within specialty and to lower acuity patients as needed On-call may be required Description: Responsible for providing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. Common diagnoses include cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and heart failure. Manage patients with advanced therapies and mechanical support devices. Perform bedside procedures such as central line insertions and bronchoscopy. Monitor patients closely, including interpreting vital signs and lab results. Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary support teams. Participate in patient and family education as part of care. Ensure adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines. Respond effectively to emergencies and acute medical situations. Document patient care accurately in the electronic charting system. Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities. Rotate shifts regularly to meet unit staffing needs. Provide high-quality nursing care to adults and geriatric populations.
