Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour varied shifts with every 3rd weekend Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience with 2-3 years of cardiac experience License: Active RN license in the relevant state Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Active ACLS required from AHA Active BLS required from AHA T NCC certification is highly preferred Minimum of 3 years recent ICU experience Minimum of 2-3 years of cardiac experience Willingness to float to other critical care units Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems Ability to respond to code blue calls Experience with arterial lines, vents, BiPAPs, and cardiac monitoring Familiarity with equipment utilized in critical care Description: Candidate must possess an active RN license in the relevant state. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience and 2-3 years of cardiac experience. Candidates must have current ACLS and BLS certifications. Willingness to float to other critical care units is necessary. The nurse will be responsible for responding to code blue calls. Experience with arterial lines, ventilation, BiPAPs, and cardiac monitoring is required. Candidates must have experience with the EPIC charting system or other electronic medical records. The unit consists of 16 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3 to 5. All clinicians are required to badge in and out. Dress attire is navy scrubs. Individualized training and orientation will be provided, adjusted as necessary. This is a critical care setting with a trauma level of 3.
