Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Active RN license in the state of practice preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Experience with PA catheter interpretation and analysis required Open heart recovery direct from the operating room strongly preferred Experience with LVAD/RVAD/Impella and IABP required Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) with Prismaflex and ECMO preferred Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The shift is for nights, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Patient ratios are 1:2. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty. First-time travelers are not accepted. Nurses will be required to work every other weekend. On-call requirements are not applicable. Clinicians are expected to float within the ICU community. Housing is not accepted within 100 miles. Requested time off should ideally not exceed 5 days. The client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty or obligation for payment. Candidates must have skills in hemodynamic monitoring, including pulmonary artery catheters. Experience with targeted temperature management, bedside tracheostomy care, and PEG placement is required. Additional skills required include CRRT, ventilator management, and the management of temporary pacemakers. Candidates must have experience administering blood products and managing central lines. Registered Nurses should be adept at monitoring patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. All patients are adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of 24. The unit features interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy services. Candidates must provide a supervisory reference at the time of submission. A background check will be conducted, and any open cases will be reviewed during compliance processing. Fingerprinting is required per state requirements, and results must be received prior to the start date.
