Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,658 per week in Dayton, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience with Impella post-cardiac surgery (directly from the OR) Experience with post-cardiac surgery (not directly from the OR) Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization/intervention Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring Experience with thermodilution PA catheter monitoring Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs Familiarity with EPIC Description: These positions require experience in critical care nursing. Ideal candidates will have experience with direct patient care in a cardiovascular intensive care setting. Candidates should be prepared to care for patients post-cardiac surgery and those requiring complex cardiac interventions. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in monitoring advanced hemodynamic parameters. The typical patient ratio is 1:2. Travelers may be required to float to different units within the facility based on patient care needs. Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory. Floating to other facilities nearby may also be part of the responsibilities. Candidates must successfully complete an EKG/tele competency assessment prior to starting the assignment. Experience in valve procedures and cardiac catheterization is essential. Effective communication and teamwork skills are vital for this role. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to manage fluctuating patient caseloads. A strong foundation in critical patient care practices and protocols is expected. Travel experience in a critical care setting is preferred.
