Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,718 per week in Charleston, SC

Job Opportunity – ICU Travel Nurse – South Carolina

Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend and holidays in rotation with facility employees

Highlights:

• 28-bed mixed ICU with 1:2 or 1:3 patient ratios, including PCU/med-surg holds
• Meditech electronic health record system with mobile technology for each team member
• Advanced critical care procedures including post-op CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, CRRT, and advanced hemodynamics
• Specialized neuro ICU experience with EVDs, intracranial monitoring (Codman bolts), and induced hypothermia (Arctic Sun)
• Opportunity to develop specialized skills in neurocritical care and cardiovascular ICU nursing
• Facility is a 313-bed regional medical center with Level II Trauma Center, accredited Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center

Requirements:

• Active RN license in South Carolina or eligible for compact licensure
• Minimum 36 months RN experience with at least one year in an ICU setting
• Prior CVICU experience required
• At least one successful travel nursing assignment (Meditech experience preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Proficiency managing ventilated patients and reading telemetry strips
• Comfort level caring for 1-3 ICU patients simultaneously
• Experience with bedside shift report methodology
• BSN preferred; Advanced certifications (CCRN) and TNCC certification preferred
• Skills in CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, phlebotomy, and respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers) are essential
