Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,872 per week in New Brunswick, NJ

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – New Jersey

Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Central New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, holiday coverage (1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs)

• Care for complex cardiac surgery patients including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart transplant, and VAD patients
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2+ based on acuity and staffing
• EPIC charting system; 13-week contract assignments

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required; SICU experience may be considered if initial training was completed in a CVICU
• Must have hands-on experience with fresh post-operative cardiac cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR
• Demonstrated competency with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to float within skillset to all ICUs, PACU ICU holds, ED ICU holds, and Cardiac IMC units
• Experience with advanced cardiovascular monitoring (Swan-Ganz, FloTrac/Vigileo, temporary pacers), ventilator management, chest tubes, arterial lines, and titration of vasoactive drips
