Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,872 per week in New Brunswick, NJ

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / CVICU – New Jersey

Location: New Jersey

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement; holiday coverage required (1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs); patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2+

• Advanced CVICU caseload including fresh post-op cardiac cases: CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR, heart transplantation, ventricular assist devices, and ECMO
• Epic charting system; ratios vary based on census and patient acuity
• Float to all ICUs, PACU ICU holds, ED ICU holds, and Cardiac IMC units within skillset
• First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Affiliated with a major university and part of the state's largest integrated healthcare system

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required; SICU experience may be considered if initial training in a CVICU was completed
• Demonstrated experience with fresh post-op cardiac cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR
• Hands-on experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological critical care interventions including ventilator management, arterial lines, vasoactive drips, chest tubes, and post-op open heart recovery
• Charge experience preferred
