Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Day/Night) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Days: 7:00am–7:30pm / Nights: 7:00pm–7:30am

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed to meet operational needs of the unit
• Participate in required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in CVICU or the specialty being applied for
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• All required certifications must be active and in hand at time of submission — no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required (co-worker references will not be accepted)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CVICU experience gained within a single location
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety assessment tools
• Experience working in a high-acuity cardiovascular critical care environment
