Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Monitor and manage critically ill cardiovascular patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC EMR
Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, within demonstrated competency areas
Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to and during assignment
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (Adult ICU designation applies)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience with cardiovascular critical care protocols and hemodynamic monitoring
Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes and pre-assignment module completion
