Job Title
Travel RN – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
LocationFort Worth, TX
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 2 weekend shifts biweekly | No on-call required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform and manage hemodynamic monitoring including Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, and central lines
- Manage ventilated patients and oversee chest tube care
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including GE monitors, EV1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), and Impella devices
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, or Cardiac PCU as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty)
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator management
- Proficiency in arterial line, central line, and chest tube management
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills- CVICU-specific experience including CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella management
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- BSN degree and/or CCRN certification
