Registered Nurse – CVICU (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | No On-Call
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, and CRRT
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EHR
- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 with occasional 1:1 assignments
- Float per scheduled rotation as needed to meet unit staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Minimum 1.5 years of CVICU experience (post-orientation)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Demonstrated experience with CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills- CCRN certification preferred
- Experience with Impella, IABP, and/or CRRT equipment
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to manage complex cardiovascular patients
